My name is James Ross and I am the Democratic candidate running
for State Representative in House District 49. I am married with
three children and a graduate of the University of Colorado. I have
broad experience in the construction, marketing, public policy and
higher education sectors.
The real issues facing the people of House District 49 and the
State of Colorado require connection and collaboration to the find
common values that will move us forward, especially in uncertain
times. My service on local boards and commissions has been driven
by the broad aim of restoring the dialog that will move us beyond
insular fear to mutual trust.
We need a state representative to make sure that real issues facing
all of us get a fair hearing at the Capitol. Dialog that moves us
forward shouldn't be optional. I want to see a better Colorado where
everyone has a fair chance to live the promise of a high quality
of life.
For that I will work for excellent public education for all of
our children, affordable healthcare access for everyone, personal
privacy protection and a new energy economy that limits our dependence
on foreign oil, protects the environment against uranium mining
in our backyards and creates good jobs in Northern Colorado. Quality
representation demands responsive leadership on issues like these.
That's why I'm standing up so YOU can be heard on the issues that
really matter to 49'ers in Northern Colorado.
